what's up @ echouse
The EcHouse community welcomes students and young adults of any and all faith traditions, those who are searching, struggling, or do not consider themselves religious. We want folks to feel safe to be all they are and be able to be honest about all they do or do not believe without worrying if it would affect their welcome here. Thus, we hold many events/programs which are non-religious, and some which are spiritual/religious.
Our programs are free and open to all. There is no financial or ideological cost. Everyone is welcome as they are to our Christian, religious, and secular events.
Every Wednesday, the residents of the house host a family dinner. This is an intimate group of individuals who intentionally gathers each week to make dinner together and build friendships and a sense of community.
Family dinner is every Wednesday at 6pm. All are welcome, please contact chaplain hannah at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
We offer free "make your own" lunches and bottomless coffee each Wednesday & Thursday from 11am-1pm (as supplies last) in our community space or on our lawn. Our space & patio are open for people to stay and eat, study, hangout, or take their sandwiches to go.
Theology on Tap
The last Thursday of the month we meet at a local bar to discuss various theological and spiritual topics such as: social justice, racism, lqbtq+, faith, etc. This is a place to dig deeper into what it means to be spiritual or religious and how our faith and values inform our lives.
First gathering is September 27th at The Lister.
