Chaplain Hannah was born and mostly raised on a small island in Alaska. She studied History (late antiquity and early church history) at Northwestern College, Iowa and attended seminary at Church Divinity School of the Pacific, Berkeley. Her academic interests are in interfaith studies, early church history, ecojustice, and disability ethics.
She is an Episcopal priest and was ordained to the priesthood in May of 2015. After serving two years as the pastor of an ecumenical congregation in Beijing, China and trying to learn Mandarin, she has returned to her San Francisco home where she is excited to share in the ministry at EcHouse.
She holds a deep love for the outdoors, yoga, flyfishing, the SF Giants, and coffee. She would love to grab a coffee and get to know you!

Gráinne Buchanan is a second year Masters of Divinity student at Pacific School of Religion. She has lived in Ireland, France, New York, California (3 times), Arizona, Massachusetts, and Vermont. She moved to to the Bay a year ago after finishing her undergraduate degree in Religion and History at Smith College. She's interested in religion and modernity, death and mourning, interfaith work, and queer studies. After finishing her M.Div., she plans to pursue hospital chaplaincy.
Some of her favorite things are: quesadillas, swimming in the ocean, road trips, and golden retrievers.
