Chaplain Hannah was born and raised on a small island in Alaska. She studied History (late antiquity and early church history) at Northwestern College, Iowa and attended seminary at Church Divinity School of the Pacific, Berkeley. Her academic interests are in interfaith studies, early church history, ecojustice, and disability ethics.

She is an Episcopal priest and was ordained to the priesthood in May of 2015. After serving two years as the pastor of an ecumenical congregation in Beijing, China and trying to learn Mandarin, she has returned to her San Francisco home where she loves sharing in the ministry at EcHouse and serves as vicar at St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church.

She holds a deep love for the outdoors, yoga, flyfishing, the SF Giants, and coffee. She would love to grab a virtual coffee and get to know you!
